(Re)Building Teacherly Authority!

A unique opportunity for motivated teachers!

The last few years have exacted a toll on staff and student wellbeing.  We know that for young people to be able to face up to an uncertain future they need to acquire the full range of 21st century skills, which is best achieved when every student is fully engaged.  We also know that engaged students mean productive classrooms and effective teachers.

(Re)Building Teacherly Authority is a one-day face-to-face program plus two 90-minute follow up sessions over Zoom.

What you will learn:

  • the crucial and fundamental role teacherly authority plays in causing students to engage fully and willingly do their best work

  • how and why this critical social dynamic has been neglected in our schools in favour of classroom management techniques which leave many students disengaged

  • how to rebuild teacherly authority on a new basis providing for the full range of 21st century skills

When: Thursday 18th August, 9 am – 3:30 pm

Where: TBC Melbourne

Who should apply: motivated teachers and schools leaders
