There are many ways we can help ourselves be more often at our best

It is endorphins that give us that glow after we have engaged in demanding exercise.  I only recently discovered that endorphin is a contraction of ‘endogenous morphine’ i.e., morphine that the body produces itself.

When flushed with endorphins we feel good about ourselves and that makes it easier to engage in whatever activity we choose to do next.

What I find fascinating is that there are so many ways we can make ourselves resilient to what the world throws at us.

In effect, we are built to be resilient – to have life and gain more life.

In a world with the levels of uncertainty that we are now experiencing, the more ways we can find to put ourselves into the best frame of mind the better we can face these uncertainties.

Children learn how to become adults from the adults around them and modelling how we manage to keep our heads when others are responding unhelpfully becomes ever more important.

There are many ways to transform ourselves to be more and more often at our best, we just need to find and practice them.
