Tuning in!

It is unconditional acceptance that helps people attune to the new

What is it that helps us to feel at ease in a new job or role, or in a new level of consciousness, that is, in a new way of seeing the world?

The absolute key is to feel valued and accepted by key people – a new boss, if we are going into a new job or role, a significant adult if we are shifting our level of consciousness.  For students, that significant adult is most likely a teacher, or, at the very least a teacher could usefully play that role.

What does it mean to feel valued and accepted?

It means that when we don’t know what to do or say - when six months ago we did – and we feel useless and unworthy, then these key adults respond unhesitatingly with kindness, compassion and acceptance, expressing no doubt in our ability to overcome these short-term blocks.

This interaction is so fundamental to being human, yet, historically, has been almost ironed out of how we engage with each other.

We have learned to look down on someone who does not match up to what we expect them to do, rather than providing this level of loving support.

As both children and adults grow in consciousness, we all need to feel valued and accepted.  It only makes sense to offer the same thing in return when we get the chance.

The world is changing from conditional acceptance towards unconditional acceptance, or at least it needs to, if we want to keep growing at the rates that are needed.
